THE ZODIAC ZEN

The Maruti Suzuki Zen was a 5-door hatchback produced and sold in India by Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki from 1993 until 2006. It is an expanded version of the Suzuki Cervo Model. The word “Zen” is an acronym standing for Zero Engine Noise. It also stands for the Japanese word “Zen,” which means 'Complete’ The Zen was available in various variants and colors, with a 993 cc engine and manual transmission. The last recorded price ranged from ₹3.32 Lakh to ₹3.83 Lakh. It had a distinctively compact and boxy design, making it quite recognizable on the roads. Introduced in the early 1990s, it quickly gained popularity for its fuel efficiency, maneuverability, and affordability.  The Zen had several iterations over the years, with improvements in design and features.

It became a favorite among urban commuters and small families. The Zen underwent a facelift in 2003. A three-door version of the Zen in VXi segment was launched, priced at 5.0 Lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It was only available in Black (Zen Carbon) 300 nos or Silver (Zen Steel) 300 nos, cars.  In 2004 Zen underwent a facelift with new body which was called Zen Tiger. In 2006 the second generation (Zen Tiger) was discontinued.
Due to the emerging emission norms and changing trends of the automotive industry, the company decided to halt its production and succeeded it with the Zen Estilo. Despite being discontinued in the mid-2000s, it still holds a special place in the memories of many people, especially those who owned or grew up seeing one on the streets.

THE PRESTIGIOUS PADMINI

The Padmini, also known as the Premier Padmini, was an iconic car model manufactured by Premier Automobiles Limited in India. Initially marketed as the  Fiat 1100 Delight , it was later rebranded as the  Premier Padmini  from 1974 onward.    Many celebrities, including Rajnikanth, Mammootty, and Aamir Khan, owned a Premier Padmini during its prime years.  Compared to the Hindustan Ambassador , It looked more modern, was more fuel-efficient and was very easy to drive.  By the early 1980s, It's engine power was reduced to 42 bhp (31 kW) (at 5,000 rpm) with a modified carburettor to make it more fuel efficient. THE MARUTI 800

The  Maruti Suzuki 800  was an iconic city car manufactured by Maruti Suzuki in India from 1983 to 2014.   The first generation (SS80) was based on the 1979  Suzuki Alto  and had an 800 cc F8B engine.  Widely regarded as the most influential automobile in India, about 2.87 million 800s were produced during its course of which 2.66 million were sold in India itself.  Produced for 31 years, Maruti 800 remained the second longest production car in India, next only to  Hindustan Ambassador .  The Maruti 800 remained the best-selling car in India until 2004 when the Maruti Suzuki Alto took over that title.  It was also exported to several countries in South Asia, including Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
