THE AFFECTIONATE A - STAR

The Maruti A-Star, also known as the Suzuki Alto in some markets, was a compact hatchback that was produced by Maruti Suzuki in India. It was designed to be a stylish and fuel-efficient city car. It was actually a different car from the Japanese market one. The car was manufactured exclusively in Haryana, India and was exported worldwide. It is available in some European markets with a somewhat different front end as the Nissan Pixo. The car was rolled out to the Indian customers in December 2008 and exports began in April 2009. With a totally new body and engine, Maruti hoped to bring freshness to the Indian car market, of which it already holds a major share. The 998 cc (60.9 cu in) K10B inline-three engine was developed especially for the new car, and is also used for the Nissan Pixo. The A-Star had a fresh new dashboard, with an available unique protruding tachometer besides the usual meter cowl. The European market version of the Maruti Suzuki A-Star was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. It was developed to be a global car and will be made at Maruti Suzuki's plant in Manesar, Haryana, India.
It is stylistically based on the Suzuki A-Star Concept. In February 2014, Maruti Suzuki unveiled an all-new Celerio, which replaced the A-Star and Zen Estilo. It typically came with a 1.0-liter petrol engine, known for its good fuel economy. With a compact and modern design with a spacious interior considering its size. Also it offered basic features like power steering, air conditioning, and optional features in higher trims. Overall, the Maruti A-Star was well-received for its practicality and efficiency, making it a popular choice among city drivers in India.
  The last recorded price was between ₹3.88 lakh to ₹4.73 lakh. The A-Star was discontinued in 2014, but you can still find used models in the market.

The  Maruti Suzuki Zen  was a 5-door hatchback produced and sold in India by Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki from 1993 until 2006. It is an expanded version of the Suzuki Cervo Model . The word “Zen” is an acronym standing for  Zero Engine Noise . It also stands for the Japanese word “Zen,” which means 'Complete’ The Zen was available in various variants and colors, with a 993 cc engine and manual transmission. The last recorded price ranged from ₹3.32 Lakh to ₹3.83 Lakh. It had a distinctively compact and boxy design, making it quite recognizable on the roads. The  Maruti Suzuki 800  was an iconic city car manufactured by Maruti Suzuki in India from 1983 to 2014.   The first generation (SS80) was based on the 1979  Suzuki Alto  and had an 800 cc F8B engine.  Widely regarded as the most influential automobile in India, about 2.87 million 800s were produced during its course of which 2.66 million were sold in India itself.  Produced for 31 years, Maruti 800 remained the second longest production car in India, next only to  Hindustan Ambassador .  The Maruti 800 remained the best-selling car in India until 2004 when the Maruti Suzuki Alto took over that title.  It was also exported to several countries in South Asia, including Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
